First Post and a Discharge

So, this is my first blog post ever, I feel so 21st century and Web 2.0.

Thursday I was discharged from Shands at the University of Florida. I'm at home in Sarasota and soon I will see an end to my crazy Health Odyssey of nearly 2 months.

In 2 weeks I have an appointment with my CF doctors and I'm hoping that my PFT numbers will be back to their baseline which has me in the upper 60s for lung function. Though I'm prepared if they have infact dipped and even after a month of IVs these could be my new baseline numbers. I mean CF is a disease that destroys the lungs so it should be of no surprise that I see a continued downward trend in my numbers, though treatment is the only thing that slows it down and I will try my damndest to keep that trend as slow as possible. I'm also hoping that I get cleared again for sinus surgery and I can finally, finally after 6 years of waiting, have it done around the holidays.

Other than that I am planning on going up to USF later this coming week to get my courses planned out again for my education major. The pneumonia caused me to miss fall semeser and in doing so caused my roadmap to get messed up. I had specific courses planned for every semester until spring '11 whem I would graduate. Now I have to move around everything so I can take the right courses during the right semesters when they are offered. School may prove to be a bit hard this spring mainly because as of now I can't pick buildings for housing in spring. I may have to end up taking courses at Sarasota, or splitting my time between here and Tampa if I can do one day a week courses up there. It'll be a challenge, but I WILL make it work because I WANT it to work.

In other news I have begun to slowly brainstorm Vocare 12 for which I will be the rector of here in Southwest Florida. I need to step it up though because the weekend is in February this time and even though it seems like a far off time, its really not and it doesn't help that the holiday season will be starting up soon so everything will be going a million miles per hour.

Anyway, that's it for now.
